Annual 'Battle of the Bulge' event at Fort Indiantown Gap in Annville, PA

This event is a barracks event for us as naturally there isn't much we can do 'in the field'.   The barracks is decorated as our Squadron Mess, and we have an excellent time with this.

May 22 -23, 2010 Warbirds over the Beach

This is the second annual Va Beach show put on by the kind people at the Fighter Factory.  The first show was a fantastic success, and this next show promises to be even better.  Typically we will do the Battle of Britain at this show.

Mid Atlantic Air Museum's WWII Weekend in Reading, PA

An annual air show and usually fairly large.  Our theatre of impression varies at this event, and is determined for the most part by the weather.  Extremely warm temperatures mean Malta or North Africa.  This show is usually a great amount of fun.  We set up a camp consisting of bell tents that would have been found on any satellite or overseas British airfield.  When we're lucky, the Hurricane and/or Spitfire from the Fighter Factory in Suffolk, VA turns up and our great friend Jerry Yagen parks them in camp, which naturally adds tremendously to the display.  This past year we were fortunate to have the Russel Group's Hurri in our camp.  Of course we have our legendary Saturday evening Mess.

July 9 - 11, 2010
1941 Historical Aircraft Group Museum's Air  Show in Geneo, NY

This is another annual air show, and a very good one.  The airfield is grass and it's always great to see vingate aircraft taking off from grass.  They usually get an excellent variety of aircraft, and a good number of British Second World War kites.  While we sadly missed the show in 2007 due to everyone being unavailable, they had at least three Spitfires and a Hurricane.  They fly the aircraft a lot at this show and it's a great time.

Annual WWII Weekend at Eisenhower Farm in Gettysburg, PA

An excellent event that has become a tradition in 601.  We hold our annual unit dinner at this event  which has proven quite popular and a great venue for it.
