All RAF squadrons with a good history have their bits and bobs that have have been presented to the squadron or its various members over the years.  Having a history that began in 1925, going through a golden age in British aviation and then through a war, the 'Millionaire's Squadron' certainly had some nice presentation pieces that would become the Squadron silver.  The pieces traveled around a bit, many at one time being presented to the London City Council for safekeeping.  In the end the very good people at the RAF Museum at Hendon would agree to hold onto it for safekeeping, fitting since 601 served at Hendon the longest, and always considered it their spiritual home.

These photographs were provided by the very good and kind curators at Hendon who's friendship and help has always been of enormous value and very kindly appreciated.
